I'm a Sentimental Fool

I won't bore you with the details of Max's fabulous show on Saturday, but I will share a short video of his performance of "I'm a Believer" (really, it's short, less than 40 seconds of cuteness and sappiness on my part).

I went, I saw, I cried like a big sucky mama. Oh the pride in my little Elvis wannabe, what's going to happen to this sentimental fool of a mom when something BIG happens? I'm going to be a puddle at his high school graduation if my tears at these little events mean anything. I'm pre-ordering my medication, don't worry, I won't embarrass him. Too much.

Does anyone have a hanky?

How friggin adorable is he??

Don't worry about the tears, Kelly - they're happy tears of pride. I bawled my eyes out at most of my son's events! Nothing wrong with wearing your heart on your sleeve.

OMG! Again “how cute was that?” A couple of people have asked me if I am going to cry at my daughter’s wedding. Of course I am. I cry watching people get married I do not even know. August 2nd will definitely be a day for waterproof mascara!

I BELIEVE....... That, that lil guy has stolen my heart!
Especially since he believes he's invincible and didn't cry when he fell out of our hammock.

Give him a big high five from me for his performance!
Hugs, Mimi

You will cry at graduation, trust me!! Bring plenty of kleenex. I cried at the end of my 16 year olds "Wizard of Oz" play this past spring.
I think these moments are to help us get through the "other" moments, when they want to eat chocolate for breakfast!!

Just what I needed to see this morning. LOL, what a doll, remember to re-read this post when he is specializing in "no can do" or giving you time outs.
thanks for sharing.

Theresa

You will cry. I cried the kindergarten orientation at the graduation the first day of first grade the last day of first grade. Heck I even cried at field day. Why do our babies have to grow up? You are doing a great job mama be proud and be strong you have a wonderful son and that my love is because you are a amazing lady.

Joanne- Thanks mama. I definitely do wear my heart on my sleeve, sometimes to my detriment but usually I just let'er roll and weep like a baby, lol! On the opposite side, I never hold back a smile or laughter either. :)

Jackie- Oh man, I swear the word wedding gets the tear ducts working on me, lol! Stock up on that waterproof mascara (and congrats on the upcoming nuptials, enjoy!)

Mimi- Max sends you a high five right back, he talks about you everyday, you made quite an impression! (e.g., we were buying Sabritas the other day and he said "these are for Mimi", LOL)

Jonna- I think he's pretty darned cute too, the winner arms et al! We'll have to come for another visit, he likes to look at the pic of you and Mimi with him and asks when we can go to your house again. :)

Trixie- I'm a weeper, I will definitely be keeping Kleenex in business for the next 18 years or so. For both the good parts AND the bad parts, like chocolate for breakfast, lol!

Heather- Ok seriously, the energy is out of control! I don't need to waste money on a gym, I get all the exercise I need chasing this little monster!

Theresa- I will definitely come back to this post on his less than charming days, the reminder will be good for me (and him, teehee)

My3ros- Awww, you're a weeper too! Kids huh? Always making us cry dammit! And yes, can we put a hold on the growing up just for a little while? :)

Heather- Thanks mami, glad you liked it! The titles were sappy sweet, but I couldn't resist.

Laura- LOL, I know the feeling. Other kids graduating from kindergarten had me with a big lump in my throat. I'm guessing you and I watching a tearjerker would cause problems with flooding. ;-)

Ale- Nothing like kids to get the old sentiments flowing. You'll have your share with sweet Daniel for sure!

Lisa- I'll have Max model his costume next time you are over. If you give him a Cheeto, he may even do the song. :)
