How to Save 100 Pesos

Home hair cuts!

I think I'll splurge and spend the 100 pesos for my own hair, I like mine short, but not THAT short and I think that's the only cut that Hubby knows. The Sinead look is soooo early 90's, maybe Max can bring it back but I don't think I could pull it off, though it sure is tempting in the summer heat!

I'm surprised Max went for the home haircut! I know he really likes to go get it cut, but I thought it had something to do with the "lisa" that cuts it.

I'm in need of a hair-did but I think I'll steer clear of your in home salon! lol! Unless you go Sinead with me and we do it in the morning so we have time to tan our scalps to match our faces hahahaha!

Get a snap on clipper guide, they're plastic and probably very cheap. Also cut with the hair not against it, if you don't have a guide. If you cut against the hair you cut it shorter. This is stuff that I remember from when I used to clip my standard poodle.
I once had a tragic clipper accident of my own, I just wore a hat.I ended up with very, very short hair, I was cutting my hair with the clippers, and one of my kids (they were 18 months and 4 years old) broke something. I turned my head but didn't put down the clippers. I looked at the huge chunk, tried to fix it, and said what the heck! I cut it all about an inch long. I was new in town and decided that if anyone asked, I would tell them it was the chemo. This was in 1984.

It is clearly time to get a Flowbee!

Do you remember the infomercial?

I have a friend in Seattle who's going the whole route with her cancer patient pal: shaved head, scarves, wigs, etc. All but the chemo, of course.

This is the route that my husband has preferred ever since we crossed the border. Now he wants to grow a handlebar mustache... LOL. Max looks very cute.

Lisalove!- Well, he'll do just about anything with Daddy. And um, er, I think we'll pass on the twin Sinead heads, LOL! Just asking for a sunburn!

Hubby- Whoohoo, you buying beer? :)

Brice- If it wasn't for that darned mole on the top of my head, I would consider it! You are one who rocks the bald baby!

Theresa- LOL, oh man, tragedy with clippers! I think we'll just take him to the "salon" next time, we thought this would be fun but now we are done, teehee.

Todd- Oh man, the Flowbee! I was a night owl in the 80's and 90's, I absolutely remember Flowbee but thanks for the flashback. :)

1st Mate- I think that's a wonderful thing your friend is doing, what a good heart!

My3ros- Yeah, not going to take you up on it, lol! All is good in the hood.

kelsi- Hello and welcome! Thanks for jumping in and saying hi. Glad you like the pic of Max, he's a little ham!

Ale- We love our peloncito, teehee. We first shaved his head when he was about six months old I guess, I think he looks cute and it's great in the heat. Plus, he doesn't have a big beautiful head of dark hair so he can't compete with some of the other kids in his class, lol!

KW- Thanks! And yes, I think I'll keep mine just a tad more feminine. Just a tad though. :)

Emma- Teehee, Max likes it! He keeps rubbing his hand over it with a smile. He looked in the mirror and said "I'm Homer", HA! Hugs to your family amiga.

Mexpat- Noooooo to the handlebar, noooooo! When I first met Hubby everyone was calling him "Zapata" and I didn't know why. Turns out he had just shaved off his Zapata beard THANK GOD. I have seen pics and it cracks me up every time. It would be hard to get salsa out of a handlebar. :)
