The heat is on in Cancun and you won't be hearing any complaints from me. With the cold, wet winter we had I will take every hot, humid day and revel in my pools of sweat. We embraced the calor yesterday and took a little road trip south to one of our favourite beaches, Xpu Ha. It's a drive of a little over an hour and sadly, Max has now learned the phrase "Are we there yet?" (well, almost, he kept saying "Are we here yet?" to which I replied "Yes, we're here, we can't be anywhere else"). I am also ruing the day I taught the boys how to play "Punch buggy!", I've got bruises on top of bruises, there are a LOT of Volkswagens out there. We made it to Xpu Ha alive (though slightly battered on my left shoulder) and proceeded to enjoying a fabulous beach day.
We blew bubbles......
I enjoyed some cold beverages.....
We romped in the waves....
We enjoyed the vistas and colours....
We pondered taking some kite-boarding lessons....
We enjoyed some fantastic live music at the beach club....
And we gave Max an exfoliating sand treatment.....
A fab family day in the sun, sea and sand, can't wait to do it all again next week. I'm on the hunt for a new "secret" beach club, will hopefully have something to share with you soon. Take care all, hasta pronto!

Our first and only experience with a beach club was on Isla in February and it was great fun! We will be doing more of it next winter.

Next June Im traveling with my family ( wife and 2 boys) to Toronto and Im sure it is a great place also.
but ther is nothing like living your life with a lot of amazing places around you.......congrats!!
